Default Anyone here have a tune by Solomon?

I'm looking to get my computer tuned, i've heard good things about solomons tunes and was looking into that. Only problem is that my cars a daily driver, how long does it take when you do the postal method? It says on the website 1 week but I want to hear it from the customers side. Also is there a decent performance increase with his tunes?

I have one of his tunes in my 96. The car really came alive, i was very happy with it. It only took literally like 6 days to get it back, but i live in pa and he lives in ohio so it did not have a long ride to get there. You also have the option to rent the cables and software from him and he will e mail you the tune, witch is better than mailing it cause he will b able to look at data logged from your car and make adjustments. I think he gives you a week where he re tunes after the initial tune, but there is a core charge on the software and cable.

Oh Yah.. I got about 5mpg out of the tune with my car witch was only getting about 14 before. It really made a very noticeable difference everywhere. He is a really nice guy two, and is a big time bible thumper witch i find annoying but you might like. (He donated my girlfriends money to his church) Witch isn't a bad thing, but i am sure my family could have used it more than his church. It was my birthday present from her that we really couldn't afford. But that's my own deal n not his problem.

He does really good work (I had one from him until I found a local tuner to perfect it - he didn't have to change much though since Solomon got it pretty spot-on).

Yeah that's not too bad of a wait. Also this might sound stupid but I'm new to LT1s, what exactly do I have to send him. I know it's back by the firewall on the passenger side

if you rent the software and cables its pretty helpful and 0 downtime. the retunes help a lot in case he doesnt get the first tune spot on. very helpful guy too but like stated above, very religious.

You mean you don't know what the PCM looks like?
Here, you go.
Two 10mm bolts hold it on. The connectors are underneath.

I don't have a pic handy, but it's a finned aluminum computer that is held in by a plastic bracket and two 10mm bolts. It has four large rectangular wiring harness plugs attached to one end of it. It is just behind the RH strut mount between the fenderwell and the firewall....pretty much under the hood hinge. You can't miss it. Be careful not to lose the little plastic clips that retain the wiring harness plugs. There are 4 of them and you can remove them with a simple flathead screwdriver. Hope this helps. Others will probably elaborate or correct me.

Ok ii knew the PCM was there somewhere, I didn't know If it was that whole box or something inside, thanks. Also another question, sometime in the cars life I believe the engine was swapped, and I believe it's a 96 on up because it has the crank position sensor hookup. Do you think they swapped to an OBDII computer or doesn't it matter? And is there anything that I should look for to see if it's a I or II? I go to school for automotive and I hooked the scanner to it and I had to use the OBDII connector, but I'm not sure if that means it's an obdII. My cars a 95' by the way.

Correct me if i am wrong, but if u take a pcm out of another similar car and put it in any other car it will trip the security light because the vin # in the computer do not match the vin on the car? Any ways one easy way to see if you have a obd11 setup is the 4 o2 sensors instead of 3, and 2 cats + 4 O2's = obd2. 1995 was the transition year from obd1 to obd2. 1995 cars had obd1 setup but used a obd2 style plug.
