Default Electric Water pump install

Okay, well I don't post to often cause I can normally find what i'm after using the search feature. My question is, what all is involved/needed/recommended to convert to an electric water pump from my mechanical? Or better yet is there a write-up or parts list somewhere that i'm missing. Any help is greatly appreciated. At 67,000 mine has gone to the automotive heaven in the sky so time for a change!! just wanna make sure I do this right the first time.

Thanks Braden

materials required: hammer, punch, RTV, water pump gaskets and something to cut away a bit of the fan shroud

im 99% positive my EWP came with the relay and inline fuse so all you need from there is power, ground and tie it to your ignition or a manual switch

if you buy a CSR pump make sure to notch the inside of the hollowed pump housing

you will be amazed at how easy this really is when you actually do it.

With a CSR you have to modify the housing a little. I've never done a CSR so I'm not sure what EXACTLY needs to be done.

With a meziere you just need to notch the plastic fan shroud. To be honest I went redneck and just hacked the **** out of mine (I have a meziere HD) because no one can see it anyway.

You do also have to pound the mechanical "guts" out with a hammer and a punch and put a freeze plug in. They recommend RTV for the freeze plug but I advise JB weld.

I've running the Meziere standard pump for about 8+ years and it has performed flawless. Granted this car never gets driven, but that is a different story I also used the waterpump watchdog system to monitor it output.
