Lt1 Corvette valve covers on my Camaro
What mods do I need to do? I dont have roller rockers but I know when I put some on I will need to dremel the oil drip tabs. What about the fuel rails? I have heard I need to modify mine to make the VCs work? Also what about the altenator? Will the f-body location work with the vette VCs? Will I need to modify anything else?
Any help is appreciated guys.

do you know if the vette vc's are tall or not? I put some aftermarket tall gm ones on recently and it definitely made my alternator sit up high and the back is resting on the corner of the vc, but that is the only way I could get it to work.

There should be zero problems installing the LT4 vette valve covers. (IIRC) you need to purchase 8 of the studs and 8 of the tops separately from GM. It uses a rubber o-ring seal on the valve cover. Mine have worked perfect from day 1. I actually have had the comp 1.6 roller rockers on the car since I installed the covers in 2001. You can also tell from the picture the valve cover has no problem working with the alternator. It's literally plug & play.

Because the last time I purchased the VC's it came with no studs or cover bolts. The studs line up with the head and allow you to screw in the bolt on the end of stud. It supports the valve cover. The top is simply the bolt head. Mine will look different because I have the polished MBA inserts and covers. Thanks for the comps

The vet covers sit on a square gasket, the studs like they say are two piece. Check the seals if you are getting them used cause they sometimes aren't in the best of shape. I threw a bit of loctite on the studs when I put them in the heads so they button tops wouldn't take the whole bolt assembly out when I have to take off the VC's. The only thing I had to modify was a vacuum hose. I just cut it a bit cause it doesn't need to be as long.
