Default Before I put new heads on, opinion on this cylinder

1. Is there any way to clean the piston top or don't bother? FYI, that's Marvel Mystery oil on the pistons.


2. For the most part the cylinders look good was just concerned about a bit of scuffing on cylinder 5. Opinions? Open to suggestion. Thanx (Hey look! Cross-hatches!lol)

Can't really tell w/ pictures. Can you feel any ridges with a fingernail?

No. It's pretty smooth.

i turned the motor upside down and used some non-chlorinated brake cleaner that was soaked into a clean rag. prolly wasn't the smartest thing to do but it ran great until i had a valve spring failure a year later.

Not sure what you mean by "pretty" smooth. Do you feel it catch at all?

You're good then. A good cleaning solvent will take that brown gunk right off.
