I put the 2 bolts back in the hub use a bar between them and a breaker bar with a deep socket. Should only be about 75ft pds tq on it.

Yep, just wedge something between the ears of the hub. I used a long extension.

If you have a couple old head bolts they work great in the hub and you wont damage the threads on your balancer bolts

You can also put a breaker bar on it, rest the other end of the bar on the ground and bump the starter.

Make sure you unplug the opti harness or something so the car wont start if you try that. Should work unless the bar slips off the ground and goes flying through your engine compartment..

Being on the stand makes it simple... use an adjustable wrench on one of the ears...
to keep the crank from spinning

I'll post a pic later

The breaker bar and BFH are a proven winning combo.

still have the flexplate/flywheel on it? use a flexplate/flywheel tool thats what they are for...

if flexplate /flywheel isnt mounted use a couple of long bolts in the flexplate/flywheel mounting holes and a large screwdriver or breakerbar/cheater pipe between the bolts and use the engine stand for the stop..

If it is an M6 car put it in 6th gear. It it is an auto, leave the belt on and loosen a little and then remove th pully.
