Default So i finally change out the opti

So i finally changed out my opti and it was no where as hard as i was thinking it was going to be. I would rather do 10 opti R&Rs than another longtube install.

They are easy to change if you are a competent wrencher and know what to expect.

they are much easier when the pully comes off the hub with ease.

The only really annoying thing is having to pull the water pump.....and if you have a Fluidampr, like I did, having to take that off too.

I just finished my first opti swap. Was easier then I expected. Opti slid right on and went right up to the block. No issues getting the balancer off either...

I don't miss my opti...I was cleaning out my LTx section in the attic today and ran across all kinds of opti's/parts. Good memories there

It's not too bad, I've changed mine a few times over the past few years and can do it from start to finish in about an hour and a half. That's running to the parts store and buying some WP gaskets. Glad to hear you got it running.

Google "chandler motorsports opti"

There are comments all over the web. I haven't seen any bad ones yet.

The opti I just installed is a Chandler Opti. It's not running yet(changing the rear main and throw out bearing), but as soon as it is I'll post up. Should be by the end of the week, had to order the T/O bearing.
I will say that Chandler has great customer service, and they ship FAST!!
