Default Tuner Cat Problem

Ok so I connect the USB cable to the car, the other end to a computer. Open TunerCat, and everything is grayed out. Disconnect, connect again, no difference. Reinstall Tunercat, no difference. Get updated version, no difference. Try on a different computer with XP instead of Vista, no difference.

What am I doing wrong guys? I got the ALDL cable and TunerCat 2.25, and I'm using it on a 94 LT1.

I did install the drivers and the system recognized it just fine. I was actually able to get datamaster to recognize my car (rpm gauges goin up and down n **** on the monitor...so narley lol) so that's not the issue.

It does seem like everything is locked out but I used my friend's code to register it and it says it's registered. So I dunno what I'm doing wrong?

Actually I didn't install any $EE file. I been looking for it but couldn't find it...my friend never got his tunercat to work (and hes too lazy to figure it out) and he didn't have the $EE either. Could be why neither of got it to work?

thats probably the reason its not working... the definition file isnt installed...

you might have to buy the $EE definition file from tunercats, its like $20....

you need to look in the main program folder of tunercats and check and make sure the pcm_ee.tdf file is there, think the file path would be c:/program files/cats/tuner..... there is also a pcm_ee.chm file its the compiled html help file, it has all the help tips..

Haha wow I think I got it, I just got the file and installed it and now it gave me all the options.

Appreciate it bro.

By the way if anyone's on a budget and is trying to get the files...I can hook you up.
