Default 160 or 180 degree thermostat?

Im sending my PCM out monday to get tuned. Should I get it tuned for 160 or 180 degree thermostat? The car will be driven in the winter (when its not snowing of course). I was thinking 180?

If you live where it snows much, you probably want the 180 in during the winter.

I run a 160 year round, and here in maryland, we get some cold winters. I've never had an issue with heat. Don't fear the 160.

I have run a 160 in subzero weather and long as the heater core is not plugged you get plenty of heat. That said I do not believe a 160stat is a critical mod atall.

96 is correct. It's not a critical mod. HOWEVER, my LT1 and LS1 car both ran better with the 160 mod. Don't know if it added HP. The heater core on my LT car was blocked solid-pressure from a garden hose cleared it out, you'll get soaked though...
