Default walbro 255 lph pump

what is needed to install walbro 255 pump. do you have to completely rewire or use stock wiring. the reason i ask is some show a wiring kit. also on summitt website which pump or kit would you buy for 1997 firebird lt1.

You don't have to rewire, but running a thicker gauge hot wire will reduce voltage drop to the pump and therefore increase capacity, both with the Walbro and stock pumps.
If you're just replacing the stock pump and not planning on over 400 rwhp, then the stock wiring is sufficient.

When I pulled the fuel pump from my 97 in order to drop in dual 255's, I pulled out a single 255. Someone had already replaced the pump. It was using stock wiring, and ran just fine. The car probably had 320 RWHP though at the time.

I'd run it from the post on the alternator. I made 480 rwhp with no hotwire kit on a single 255, I wouldn't worry about it much at your power level.
