Default heater hose problem

Well I busted a heater hose on my header. burned right through the sleeve I put over it. Has anyone upgraded to stainless braided line for heater hose? What's involved? Will it not burn and bust when it touches the header? Thanks.

The red one busted, and the black one was about to. I put some silver heat sleeve over the hoses but it shifted over and touched the header.

The red one is the one closest to the driver side. Goes on the lower outlet, 3/4 id I think. Other one is 5/8 and goes on the upper outlet.

Okay I took some pics so you can get a better idea.

First pic is the heater hoses at the heater core. I cut them off and then in the second pic you can see I double clamped a 3/4" heater hose over the 5/8" upper heater hose outlet and then in the third pic i clamped down the other side of the 3/4" heater hose over the lower heater hose outlet.

What I am trying to get at here, is if I took some stainless braided heater hoses, would it matter if they touched the header? There is no room over there and I am already rolling the dice with some of the wires for the O2 sensor and other crap (using some summit heat shield over the wires and there's hardly 1/4" in between the primary and the sleeve - it's going to burn off soon I bet. Probably should wrap the primary that it rubs on with header wrap?

Stainless braided hose is still rubber on the inside. The hose will still fail if it is touching the header also braided steel hoses are very abrasive to anything they rub against.

Here's the bypass I did.

Anyone mind showing me a picture of how they rerouted the hoses so they don't burn?
