Default optispark

a while ago i put a napa auto parts opti with an msd cap and rotor in the car, since then i have rebuilt the motor and it sees 6500 anytime i race it which is pretty much every weekend, wondering if even with 20,000 miles at best my opti is already shooting **** on me? im thinkin if so that the high rpms take a toll on it...tell me what you think

What would make you think that your optispark is crapping out? You don't list any symptoms or problems. I wouldn't trust a NAPA opti and and MSD cap/rotor for very long, but 20k miles is pretty impressive.

It's ironic how many people have problems with opti's. I've had just about every other problem with my car, but an opti has never been one of them. Lol. although...I probably just jinxed myself now.

The only problem I ever hear is about non gm opti's. Most OE opti's last a good while. What symptoms are you having with your car?

Without symptoms and codes you might as well just assume its your flux capacitor!
