Default Lt1 surging at idle

its a 94 z28 with intake exhaust only. The car runs perfect driving down the road, no hesitations. But when come to a stop the car will run fine then at about every 20 seconds or so the car will go to 500 rpms and up and surge and then go back to normal still running a little rough. Then at times it can be surging and then go back to noraml and it does it about every 20 seconds. I replaced the IAC and that kept the car from shutting off like it did before. It now catches itself as i mentioned before. so any suggestions????

Yup. Mine's doing cyl 4 and 8. hasn't tripped the SES light, but they are there. Keeps my converter from locking 1/2 the time... which is how I figured it out so quickly.

Take it apart and make sure it's dry. It may just be wet... or bad.

Did you reset the new IAC after you put it in?

checked vacuum hoses and is good as far as i could tell.... the car will idlefine the drop to 600rpm catch itself, SES light comes on and car runs fine, then when i drive it the light goes off and the car does ok, then if i come to a stop and sit there for a few it will do it again... could this be a bad EGR??? at WOT the car does miss a little, but pulls fine through mid-range

If you have an SES light, there's no use in speculating - have it scanned!
