NEW BEST on stock shortblock!!!! VIDEO ADDED! So close to 10's but just didn't have it in it. The DA was 869 feet. I thought the air would be better but I didn't want to stick around for another pass since there were so many cars still there.

Not to make excuses but the launch was so-so. The car yanked both wheels good, but it jerked the car to the left a little bit. My friend was in the burnout box right behind me and said it was hairy, lol. I had the car at the perfect temperature though and nailed the shifts, so I still don't think it would have ran a 10, maybe like a 11.07 or so. I was all set to change a few parts this past month and get myself into the 10's with room to spare but a family issue came up that drained me pretty good both emotionally and monetarily. I just wanted to get a low 11 today to shut a bunch of people up. The track is only open 1 more weekend but I'm not sure if I can go there.
Mods are:
stock shortblock with new bearings and oil pump
XFI 468 cam
TFS 195 heads (62cc)
single plane with custom elbow
all the bolt-ons
th350 with a big converter
hoosier 27" qtp's
I am pretty sure my brand new tranny just isn't as good as my old one though. I'm not a transmission guy so I don't know if they get faster with a few miles or if they work better right out of the box. I will have to ask around to see.

Congrats man, the car is moving but your sixty seems a little soft with that size stall. If you can get the car to cut some 1.4's your there. Either way that is some impressive times.

I have cut better 60-foots than that pass. It went left a litle bit right after the wheels came up. It has never cut a 1.49 though. My best 60 ever was like a 1.53 and our crappy 1/8th mile track. I foot brake it to around 3500. It always ET's better when I load the converter like that.
