Default No Start Issue (wanna fix today, PLEASE HELP!)

Alittle Back Ground:
I have a 94 Formula, I recently did a complete overhaul on my car. Redid the interior, painted it, rebuilt the motor, did a th400 swap and put a 12 bolt in it. I started putting it all back together after 3 years turn the key and just get crank. NO spark.

Once i figured out that i had no spark i quickly thought Opti maybe something has fried out. I check the opti pigtial and it was giving power. So i replaced the opti. Same issue, NO SPARK checked the ICM, Coil, Plugs and Wires. SAME ISSUE NO SPARK

After that i thought maybe there was a missing ground, no such luck
I also went to my computer guy to make sure it wasnt the computer and guess what. it wasnt.

No that my head hurts im hoping someone can give me some type of idea. where to go next.

I am kinda curious if the nuteral saftey switch maybe causing this but i dont thnk i would get fuel or crank for that matter. Something is stopping the spark and no a 4 year project in making the last couple of days im ready to call it quits. I have never done a TH400 Swap and Did all the right things that was said but i still feel i did something wrong.

Also there is one ground that im unsure of. On the passanger side fender wall. Next to the A/C (now gone) there is a ground said on Alldata, my car doesnt have one, this maybe the issue??? im going to check that today around 2 but if there is anything else that ANYONE can think of PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

im pretty sure that would be the PCM ground. you need to find it or look into it more. my roommate couldnt get his car running and that was one of the big problems. his PCM ground wasnt hooked up

i checked that out more, isnt the PCM ground directly into the PCM. i just looked at that more and couldnt really find where it would even go. On All Data it looks like it goes on the inside of the car. Is that correct ?

The PCM ground goes to a stud on the block.

Bad grounds are a pita to trace. Give Larry a call @ Speed and see if they can find the culprit. You're not too far from them. Good luck.

Found the issue.

The oil pressure sending unit wasnt grounded right, car wouldnt fire without it, cuz the pcm is shut down without oil pressure readings. It sends fuel but no spark. Got spark and car fired, oh it sounded nice. Found out i have bad fuel filter but after this mess. Eh no biggie. Thanks ls1 tech!

Not a chance the OPSU had anything to do with your no-start condition. The OPSU is not driven by the PCM, nor does it provide any OP data to the PCM.

Sounds like some other wiring somewhere else.

I swear to god.

I did alot of checking on this. Rob, you know how the car has been down.

If you check out OPSU isnt sending a correct feedback to the computer, the PCM turns off spark and will not start. If your sending unit fails while the car is on the car should die if everything is setup correctly. I am now having a small issue with fuel pressure and fuel pulse tho. i gotta figure that out. any suggestions ?

I don't buy the sending unit either....Not saying your lying just saying something else must have happened....

anytime I have seen that senor go bad or get unplugged the Oil gauge goes past max and stays there....

Both car would still start and run fine though....

You sure you didn't change ANYTHING else???

i swear to god i didnt do anything. I put a new opti in and nothing (no spark) happened i started to feel like WTF do i do now. I started jumping on other sites a guy threw out the fact if the OPSU is not plugged in (which mine wasnt because im doing a aftermarket one) there will be no spark from the PCM.

I grounded out the OPSU Sensor and boom got spark!
