Hmmmm....swapped engine and I have no idea what it is
The PO told me that it's a swapped GM crate engine, but thats all he knew. It is definitely lt1 based because of the intake and what have you but I found out some interesting information today. I was replacing the oil pressure switch after installing my long tubes and the unit I got didnt fit? The 94 z28 switch has a stubby end on it with a few short threads and the one I needed has kind of an extension to keep it further from the block for fitment purposes. I think at autozone its for a 91? I dont know much about the different GM engines (truth be told, I've been an 5.0 guy until I got this beast). If there are any other specifics that will help distinguish my motor, please let me know so I can check. I dont want to be buying parts for a wrong motor haha Thanks!!

gm used the 92 switch in 93 and i believe 94. I ran into the same problem when i broke my oil pressure sensor installing my longtubes, i tried ordering one for 93 but it was bs and like you said didnt have the proper extension.

Cool, I'll check for the ID # when I'm out there tomorrow. Good info on using the 92 sensor, I know they moved it for late 94/95 near the intake, maybe thats when they ditched the old style unit.

The only thing I saw today was 327 in the passenger side of the block, pretty much in the middle or a little towards the front if anything..... Not the number I wanted but maybe another clue?
