Default Lt1 audio vs. Ls1 audio

I was wondering why didn't they keep the Bose package that they had for the lt1 fbodies for the LS1 fbodies.

I just picked up a Ls1 Fbody and the sound is horrible compared to the Bose in my LT1. My LT1 sounds like a theater compared to this!

My factory bose door speaker amplifiers were tempermental and the rear speaker was blown when I got the car. Is the rear box and amplifier worth anything?

I agree, the Monsoon system in my 97 T/A compared to the Bose in my old 96 Z28 is crap.

Yes, you can. The Bose harness is seperate from the main body harness, so all you would need a a donor car.

When I get done with my stereo, people will know that I have subs, I'm gonna do 2 Memphis small space 12's rated at 500w rms and a Memphis 1000w rms mono block amp, stinger 5 farad capacitor, alpine type R coaxial component speakers and tweeters, and a small amp to run the back speakers, my car didn't come with the monsoon/Bose setup, so I bought the back panels. That and when I get my true duals done, everyone will know exactly who's coming down the road

My lil bros 95 z28 had the bose sound system in it. I loved the way it sounded. I had to replace all of my speakers when i heard it compared to the monsoon crap! Memphis all the way around with JL subs in a fiberglass box. Cant ask for anything else in that department!

Yep correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's an 8". Not the most powerful but definitely sounds great for a stock system!

I have the 5 speaker Bose system, and loved it til my dumb-*** had my baby mamma drive the car to the shop for me and she blew it (got in the car and it was cranked all the way up). Now the front door speakers and the trunk speakers are the only ones working. The rear seat speakers don't play anything and the trunk speaker that is supposed to only play lows/bass plays highs/vocals. Still dunno exactly what the problem is or how to fix it. Any suggestions?

I would do aftermarket speakers, like the alpine type r's that I'm gonna do, they have a tweeter built in.

I was considering that, but I am having problems with my baby mamma and working on getting my own place, so I might have to sell the z28. I actually liked the 5-speaker Bose system before she blew it, and would be perfectly happy if I could get it working properly again. I don't have much cash to dump into it, especially with the possibility of selling the car, so just looking for a simple fix to get the stock system working.

Is there a common problem that occurs with these systems? Would it possibly be the rear amp sub unit or the radio itself?

Does the Monsoon come with amps connected to the front speakers?

My factory Delco Boss system sounds sick as hell, thats another reason i love my car.
