Goodbye to an old "friend"

Goodbye to an old "friend"
Well the time has come for me to retire my lime green 93Z. The more I tore into it, the more I realized it's a little too far gone to repair (as a street car....). I now have a black 93Z to stand in its place. Camaro in French means "Friend" or "Companion." This was my 4th Camaro (68,69,84,93(x2)) and the car has served me very well as a daily driver for 2 1/2 years and I don't have the heart to gut it and scrap the chassis. So, I'll be parting out the majority of it except the rolling equipment, keeping the basic body panels, and dropping in a dual carbed BBC backed by a TH400 and a narrowed Dana 60 with a 4-Link and tubbed. So, I guess it's not exactly goodbye, but it's going to be leaving the public roadways.

My only problem is room is getting tight and I may be moving soon. I've got the Black 93Z getting the 383 and all the other goodies. Now I'll have 2 projects, I'm just trying to hang on to the green one until the black one is "done." I really don't want to scrap it, and I'm going to hang in there as long as possible. I've always wanted a 4th gen with a BBC......I already have the motor and trans too.

I'm just waiting on parting out the car (I need to make room for the 383 project already underway and now this). After that, the hacking and welding can begin. I'm contemplating which BBC to bring back into service, the 402 or the 468. I'm a little tempted to swap the crank in the 468 for the one in the 402 to make an over-bored 427...
