Default Coolant lines steel braided?

Just wondering if anybody has done steel coolant lines and heater lines? My factory ones are starting to go bad.

Any place to get them? Any thread sizes needed that you can tell me?

can't be that much more expensive. the oem hoses are expensive enough. Just think it would be cool to have steel hoses that last for a long time instead of rubber 2 year hoses. Has anybody done this to an lt1 car? I know somebody must have done this already.

i seriously doubt it. I have 500+ dollars in AN hose/fittings on my car, and I'm not looking to spend more on silly heater hoses.

I priced it a few years ago and it was OUTRAGEOUS! After seeing the price I was content with the rubber hoses. They do look pretty badass though!

Thanks! I'm not thinking about doing the main radiator hoses. Just the smaller ones like the heater bypass and heater ones and the other tiny ones. Any idea on the cost difference without the big ones?

for the heater lines you'd need to tap the water pump outlets to 3/8 and 1/2 npt, then you could run a -10 or -12. I'd say an honest 200 bucks would get it done. Taps will be about 50 bucks.
