Default Oil pressure sending unit...need help please

could this be whats causing my oil pressure to keep getting lower and lower?

when i first start up my car its completely fine. then when i actually start driving, little by little it gets lower and lower. after a while, the needle then hits the bottom and my "check gauges" light comes on.

i have posted this before and used the mechanical oil gauge, like some of yall replied and everything was ok. but i was planning on selling my car, , and didn't want to sell it to someone like this. just wanting to get some answers from different people that know a lot more about lt1's. it still runs really strong when i go wot and dont have any issues.

also, where is it located exactly? trying to get an idea.

any advice would help. thanks.

If it checked out on a mechanical gauge fine then it probably has something to do with the oil pressure sending unit.

You already said you checked with a mechanical gauge and it was fine. I think you have already found your problem. Change the sensor. It's location depends on year and you don't give any car info.

It may be the gage as well. not just the sending unit. My 97's is low all the time but I have changed the sending unit 3 times and no change. When I put a mechanical on it it is just fine.

yeah, im hoping. lol.

but its a 94 camaro z28 lt1. i saw on ur website that it depends if its an early 94 or later 94, that it could be in different locations. where else could i possibly check if i do not find it where the picture shows? thank you.

It should only be above the oil filter, or behind the intake manifold.

It's going to be behind the intake or above the oil filter like the site says.

Yea mine reads like 20psi on my dash....put a mechanical gauge on it and it read 50-60....

As long as it does not start reading lower that what it usually reads I would not worry too much...
