Exactly, its a nice piece from them with all the hardware you need also.

If you want to do it yourself I suppose you could just measure the thickness of the flimsy disc that is in there now.

Another option is running the LS1 steering shaft, not sure what other modifications are needed to do so though.

I thought you had to install the ls1 rack and pinion also.

The LS1 shaft needs to be dissasembled and reclocked to work properly in an LT1 car. Someone has pics on here as to what needs to be done. There are also some that claim you can just put it on and have your alignment set to correct but I've been there tried that it doesn't work. The rag joint eliminator is what I ended up using. I do have an LS1 shaft kicking around if someone wants to buy one though.

isn't it hard to install unless you have the drivers side header already out? I missed my opportunity to install one during a head gasket job and regret it.

Ok, I asked because i live overseas, and i dont know if they ship there, ussualy when i order something from ebay or summit i need to multiply by 3 (1 dollar=1.75 guilders) to see how much i have to pay. We have a tax over here that is 32% of the price+shipping from the part that i have to pay to get my parts. ANyway I will go ahead and order it.

BTw 1badzee thats an obvious answer.

Wasn't trying to be facetious. It's just that the name of the object is as self-explanatory as it gets.

Yes - any play that is caused from the rag joint. I went with an LS1 shaft. Looks nicer too

I put the rag joint eliminator in my car and I rather like the look of it. I didn't need to remove the driver side header when I put mine in. I have an early set of Jet-Hot headers in my car so your mileage may vary with that one as every car is different.

As far as the install, the hardest part for me was getting the damned rag joint out. Reassembly was a breeze. It took a ton of play out of the steering.

Yeah I guess I did ask an obvious question , but wasn't sure since my steering's tight.
