Default Custom rear end

Alright Im putting the 3.73s in the 10 bolt for now with some DR's and shooting for 12's but I want to put a 355 in the car (guy at the mechine shop has a block he is GIVING away) also has some heads that he is pretty much giving away because someone left them at his shop.

I looked into the 9 inch mosers and stuff and 2k on the rear end.
wondering if maybe you can do a custom build with the GM 8.5 the Ford 8.8 or the ford 9 probably be a lot cheaper and pretty fun being like a custom set up anyone out there running something like that???

If you like that kind of stuff, it's very doable. A few people on here have done it/are in the process of building one.

But buying a turn-key ready to go rear provides the least amount of headaches.

A good welder is nice but figuring out where the spring perches and control arm brackets and shock mounts and pan hard bar and how to adapt the torque arm so that the rear is at the right angle...find a mathematician.

Sounds more like a fabricator than just a welder. Thats what you need.
