Default 93 idle problems

I am also currently having some idle problems with the car. Most of the time when you first start it up cold the thing trys to idle at like 300 RPM (not good). I have replaced the IAC & have no idea where to go from there. Suggestions? It seems to idle fine once it gets warmed up all the way & I don't know if it matters or not but the AIR pump fuse was/is pulled from the car & whenever I put a new one in it trips the SES light (guessing the pump is bad, but I'm removing the thing & all EGR when I swap in my 383)

ses only trips when you plug the fuse back in for the air pump & the code is 'air pump fault.' didn't know if the airpump not throwing air in the back when it is expecting it to would cause the low idle problem.

the optispark seems more than good. You can rev the thing pretty hard & it doesn't miss. had it out at the track & was pulling 100mph trap speeds with only a few bolt ons

i believe they do, but am unsure how to check. I think the only sensor difference is no MAF & everything is based off of speed density and MAP readings.

I'm just thinking if the air pump is supposed to be putting some air in & only supposed to be doing it when the motor is cold that it might be my problem. Don't want to really drop my new motor in if it is something else & have my car trying to idle at like 200-300 rpm.

many people have deleted the air pump because it really serves no meaningful purpose, myself included. is your battery holding a good charge and how is your alternator output?

alt output is fine at cold startup, have a new battery, alt output is marginal at best at idle when the car is warmed up with lights and a/c on. I would say it is slightly discharging under this condition. but again, at startup the alt is cranking plenty of juice
