Default Change Of Plans

Well was talking to someone about there projects and there cars and such and something came up while i was.

It is a 99 Firebird Trans AM clone that is ready for an LT1 to go in it

I mean whats better then that an LT1 in a LS1 looking Trans AM.
but is it just me or this seem like a pretty neat project?

But i love the LT1 platform its just different and I mean it would be a total attention getter at the track when everyone is walking around and people are like is that an LT1 and you go......DAMN right..........Would have on the Air Lid......... Surprised?.....plus something else just came up about a motor to go in it lets see how that goes

This isn't exactly groundbreaking. People have been converting their LT1 powered cars to the LS1 front-ends for years.

I personally love the LT1... mainly because I think they produce a better sounding exhaust note. However, swapping an LS1 for an LT1 that uses the problematic Opti-Spark, PLUS makes less horsepower in stock form seems like a step backwards to me. LS1s responds better to simple mods as well. To each his own I guess.

Well if all goes well Ill have a 383 LT1 in it.
and i love the LT1 also but the Looks of a 98-02 Trans Am is just sick and the car has had an LT1 in it before so all is there to do it it. I figure its the best of both worlds and its different I don't want to have what everyone else has

once upon a time... not gonna lie though u would be better off doing a front end swap on urs as mentioned above. You have a damn good clean platform to work with an had a plan. And just remember ive been in ur shoes before.

Its your own car dude do what you want with it... do you really care what other people think of it? Nothing wrong with putting an ltx into a ls roller. Most of the LS rollers are in far better shape to begin with. Yes you are on a LT forum so your going to get **** on thats what happens so just do what you want to do have fun with it
