Clogged Exhaust? Knock Sensor?

Clogged Exhaust? Knock Sensor?
Hey guys new to the forum was wondering if anyone else had this kind of problem with they're LT1.
Just some background on the car, 1995 LT1 M6 mainly bone stock with the exception on magnaflow catback and cold air/Aluminum elbow. 149,xxx miles.
The other day I got gas at a local gas station and it seemed like the car was acting up shortly after that, replicated a condition of bad gas, sputtering/ idling a little funky/a little loss of power.
Well it got really bad today, car would rev up to about 2500-3000 in first gear and fall on its face, it wouldnt get over 10mph. So I was on the road and needed to find a place to pull off to call someone to pick the car up. I got out and opened the hood, took a look at everything and my exhaust manifolds both were cherry red.
Now I wasnt sure if this was a knock sensor detecting knock retarding timing and causing a lean condition, or if the stock cat has finally clogged and taken a ****. Any feedback on this would be great guys thanks!!

Hey thanks for the feedback man, I'm going to hook the modis up to it tomorrow and see what my knock sensor is doing. I guess its time to hollow out that cat seeing as I dont feel like buying a new one.

sounds like clogged cats. start the car up and put your hand behind the tail pipes and see how much air is coming out
my buddy had a clogged cat on his lt1 and each tailpipe had about the same amount of air that comes out of my nose while i'm breathing

Yeah when I got to work I just double checked everything including fuel pressure and spark retard. Took the exhaust off and gutted the cat, took it around the block and no problems, no backpressure, but no problems. Thanks for the help guys!
