3.73 or 4.10s
I have a 94 z28 a4 and im trying to find out what gears I should go with and how much track time it will knock off.
Also if i just go with 3.73 am I going to feel a difference with them?
Right now I have 3.23? Please help

I have 4.10s in mine and i love them. I never ran it on the track yet. The car isnt a daily driver so i dont care that its an automatic with 4.10s. Most people will say go with 3.73s but i think thats silly. Either way your gonna loose mpgs but if i wanted a fuel efficient car i wouldnt be driving a car with a v8 in it.

I have 4.10's in a none daily driver. If it was a daily driver and I did alot of freeway driving I think I would'nt like them at all. If your stuck on gears and you DD it Id go 3.73's. or Id leave the 3.23's and spend the money on something else.

It's all going to depend on your set up and what you are trying to accomplish. Cam, converter, rear gear and tire size all have to work together. With my set up I run 4.10s but with a 28" tall tire. I did pick up 1.75 mph and dropped .15 switching from 3.73s...With my 28"s I drive the thing everywhere.

It all depends on personal preference but the norm for most is 3.73's for a street car, and 4.10's for a track car.
4.10's are a little much for most people on the road, and it will hurt your gas mileage considerably.
With my primarily driven street car, I'm actually going with oem 3.42's out of a manual car. It will be somewhat of an upgrade from the 3.23's I have now, they were cheap, it won't effect my gas mileage much, and I know they won't whine at all (common problem with aftermarket gears). That's just me being **** though.

Unless you are taking that car to a track, the 4:10s are too much. Trust me, I had them. Sure was fun when I first got the car (bought it with 4:10s), but 1st gear was damn near worthless and highway cruising sat a little high in the rpm range for my liking (2700-2800 at 70 mph).
