Default Dana 60

Got a good deal on one. Will it fit on my car? Only cost me 50 bucks.

What did it come out of? It won't be a direct bolt in unless you buy the Strange S60 dana 60 which has all of the mounts cast into the housing.
By the way I have a Detroit truetrac (like a torsen diff, all gears) a set of 3.73's and a cast aluminum rear cover for sale all for the dana 60 if you're interested email me at aero.coupe@hotmail.com

Its out of a 90 dodge. Not sure that it was original. Looks to be in really great shape and not 20 years old.

Now you have to spend hundreds, even thousands, mounting spring perches, narrowing or widening it, custom length axles, custom LCA and PHR mounts, brake brackets, etc.

Gonna take alot of work before it's ready to bolt into an f-body. I went that way with a GM 12 bolt and wish I never spent the money. Buying a housing ready-to-go is definitely the best choice, IMO.

It will be way too wide. It will have mounts for Dodge drum brakes, probably a non-posi, wrong bolt pattern for Chevy wheels, no torque arm mount etc, etc...

You will spend at least $1500 getting it to work.

Just shop around for a used Moser 12 bolt for a 4th gen. I bought mine used years ago for $1200. Direct bolt in, no modifications needed. They usually go for $1500 or so used these days.
