Default help! oil leak

had my new motor in for 200 miles no leaks. car went to the body shop for a hit and run on the rear bumper(not major damage). now i picked it up and its leaking oil all over from the passenger side lower part of the motor. its seems to be leaking from right behind the passenger side motor mount. whats over there besides the oil dip stick that can leak?

Was it a rebuilt motor or old crate motor? Probably the oilpan gasket and if it's an old crate motor that sat for a long time that gasket could be bad if they never replaced the gaskets.

Try running it and getting under there with it up on some ramps or stands and see where the oil is coming out. Maybe have a buddy rev the motor to increase the oilpressure to see if you see the leak. My suspicion, would be something was not put back on right or torqued down like the OP gasket or the infamous intake gasket. Do you feel oil on the back of the motor behind the intake?

Haha would be tempting, I wouldn't rule that out. I have some friends that are valet at the Ameristar Casino and sometimes they'll keep the car out all night and be driving around.

that was my first thought!! it cannot be purely coincidental that it does not leak for 200 miles the all of a sudden it does when you get it back!
