Default T56 tranny grind...and some shifting Q's

is it normal for my 94 camaro T56 to have like a light grinding sound in 1st and 2nd at low rpms?

also how do you guys shift in a M6 when slowing down or coming to a stop in daily driving...does anybody rev match...any body double clutch?...also is it possible to heel toe in a camaro due to how the gas pedal is further than the brake?

It very well could be a bad synchro, but even a transmission specialist might not know for sure without taking the transmission apart.

Unfortunately to fix just about anything inside the transmission, you do have to drop the whole thing out of the car. Tranny parts in general aren't really all that expensive, its just the labor that kills ya. It can take a shop a full day's work to tear a T56 down and rebuild it.

So your best bet would be to try changing the fluid before you pay a mechanic to do anything like soxxpuppet said. You might just be low on fluid. I run Redline ATF in my car but I believe the T56 will take pretty much any ATF, just under 4 quarts.
