What should I do?

What should I do?
Alright so I have a spun rod bearing and I'm wondering it it would be better/cheaper to rebuild the existing bottom end I have now or go buy this short block and just put my top end on. Motor has 140,000 on the clock so something needs to be done while engine is out of car.

Yeah, I thought it looked kinda shady as well. 90 day warranty isn't much. Says they've been building engines for 20+ years. I've been looking for a while for someone that has used one of they're engines and haven't found much.

I've always been a fan of finding a local reputable shop to do the work. It's a more intimate experience, you can see their work first-hand, and if you ever have any problems you can actually talk with them. It will be more expensive undoubtedly, but it comes with bonuses that "mail order" shortblocks can't really provide.
Are you anywhere on the east coast?

I have a mechanic that dropped the engine, that shortblock is probably stock everything. I'll probably just buy a new rotating assembly which will be more expensive, but more piece of mind. I could rebuild the engine myself with a few friends, so the labor isn't a factor.
No sir, I live in Oklahoma, middle of no where haha.

I think it's pretty well unanimous that ALL mail-order short blocks come with a certain degree of risk. Some get lucky, others do not.

And I've dealt with some crap from serious bullshit from Golen too (both in craftsmanship AND customer service) so I can't recommend them either.
