Get a custom grind. Using the biggest cam you can fit will make you slower that a proper setup

You're going a "bit" more radical, but want the biggest HR you can get?

bigger is not always better. Hit the SEARCH tab and take a look at all the threads.
Good luck

What kind of rebuild, what kind of heads?

If you are doing a factory style rebuild stick with the cam selection thread posted.

If you are building the bottom end for rpms and have better flowing heads, then you can get a BIG cam that won't be a waste of time/money. (like it would be with a stock setup)

You can't fit that into a stock head car.

Something around my cam specs is probably the biggest youd want to go, and most people dont even want to go that big. Stock heads you arnt benifiting much going to a large cam over a proven cam. A custom Grind is probably best. A ~.600 lift cam will work but you just have to be careful about duration and youll have to spend alot of money into setting up your valvetrain correctly.

My cam is a old BRE/LE gring, 226/232 .606/.603.

In my opinion i wouldnt take the duration numbers higher then 230/240 @.050 on a stock head car.
