Default Post your LS1 lid swap!

This spring, I'm going to be getting my ram air hood painted, and doing the LS1 lid swap. I've searched and read, but I'd love to see just a bunch of pics of the swap. Want to get excited and motivated.

most likely i will order a 4" silicone 4 ply but it has to be roughly around 8 to 9 inches long so i will order a 12'' piece and cut it down to size!

I know my lid looks off alignment with the engine but believe me it's spot on center. Its just the angle of the crappy pic I took.

On my Camaro with my old setup. But I can say I was the first to run a full LS1 lid/base on a LT1 Camaro front end. Ran a Glastek 4 inch cowl hood. Still have my LS1 lid setup but now running a LS1 SS front clip...

Back with the LT1 front end, a little nasty looking, but I cleaned it up later...

Pic when I was doing the clip swap...

What it looks like now...just with an alternator though...

Thanks guys! I got the base from the junkyard, so now I just need to work on selling off some stuff, and keeping my eyes peeled for a lid, and bottom feeding ram air setup.

Did you get that bird tb plate off fleabay too? When I get to doing mine, I'm gonna swap the rad base too, I think it looks a lot cleaner when it looks factory like Blsck94z28's.

How bad would the 104mm lid hit the stock hood, I know that I need to clearance the stock hood, but how much more would the 104mm take?
