Default tune and steering wheels

Hey guys, quick questions. Is it worth doing a mail order tune after a stock rebuild with intake? And also, does anyone know of the steering wheel size on a 96 Trans am? I'm looking to get an after market wheel. Any opinions?

I have a grant wheel and love the way it feels. As for a tune, it always helps but I wouldn't think its necessary with just an intake.
