Tinny feeling? That's not a word you hear every day to describe an LT1, or ANY car for that matter. What the hell are you talking about?

For tuning, I recommend www.pcmforless.com, madz28.com, Trifecta, etc. There is no universal tuning tool/software that will do OBDI and OBDII, not to mention you'd need different interface cables. A will yield TONS of info.

its hard to describe, it feels like cheapness to me not like the old solid cars lol, its like a thin metal vibration or something like solid metal tranny mounts or the exhaust, something its like you feel the gears working or something it more then just one car that does this, all 90's model muscle cars feel this way v6 or v8.

What you are feeling is drive shaft vibration. 93-97 f-bodies has it bad. 98-02 f-bodies have very little. Get a 98-02 LS1 drive shaft and you'll be ok...

the drive shaft makes sense... i thought it might be the vibrations of the transmission i though that maybe they were solid metal mounts. can it be fixed with u joints or do i have to get a whole new shaft?

Trifecta no longer tunes LT1's. I found out the hard way after I wanted a change to my trifecta tune. I think he said he sold all of his stuff to tune LT1's

305 heads? like gen 1 SBC 305 heads or is this a casting number I don't know about. People used to use 305 heads on GEN 1 sbc's because they were cheap and had way smaller chambers on them then most factory 350's came with but an LT1 head is already at something like 54cc I think 305 heads are like 56cc, not to mention the LT1 head already out flows the 305 heads.

Not to mention "305" heads won't even fit on an LT1 block.

OP, I suggest you do some reading and some searching.

well what would be a good power boost on an lt1 besides forced induction? i mean i grew up knowing that a cam and head swap would give a motor the most power! so what kind of heads should i be looking for? i'd like to make at least 400 - 450hp right now im pushing 320hp! with a 6 speed, im eventually gonna stroke it to a 377, so any tips?

You want 400-450HP to the wheels or on motor?

And FYI, there's no "stroking" to get a 377, unless you've got some whacky-*** custom crank and pistons. The next most cost-effective step up from a 350 is a 383.

well since your new check out the search area for the LT1-LT4 area and search for build threads. Tons of guys have documented different builds and what kind of power they have gotten out of them. I say fix the stuff thats gona break first when you finally reach you ideal power output. It's alot of spending with no power increase but well worth it.
I cringe everytime I run wide open and have a first to second shift with my 383 because I have a stock rear. I am just waiting for it to come flying apart. Put the money into all the bolt on stuff then build the beast under the hood. I skipped a step and I shouldn't have.

No offense but look may not know a few things here and there but honestly, a 377 is the same damn thing as a 383 just with out the bore job same crank and rods, i mean do the C.I.D math, people prefer the 383 cuz if u just get a bore job while its apart you wont have to do it later! its all personal preference!

I already pull 0-60mph in almost red line 2 gear in about 5sec, i just want a quicker set up, i may get twin turbos soon, but im going to need bigger heads right?

It's all in making the rings seal unless you have a vigin LT1 block? If they don't seal you will have way to much blow by. If you want to make that power, go forged bottom end on the stroker, Le2 heads and custom cam, or AI trickflows CnC'd with custom cam. Piston selection will be critical to power so talk with your head guy to figure out what piston should be used. You should be able to put down 400+ to the rear wheels and it may have very good street maners.
