Default Changing wiring harnesses

Well was just messing around today and looked under my hood with the short block only being there. And realized how much of a complete mess my wiring harness is.

I hear that the OBDII computers are a lot more touchy then the OBDI computers.

So Could I just swap out the PCM and wiring harness or is there more to the swap??

I forget what year is your car? Are you talking about converting from OBDI to II or the other way around?

Either way OBDI is better in just about every way than OBDII for tuning and programming purposes.

And a messy jumbled wiring harness is one of those things that just comes with the territory with fuel injected V8s.

It is a 96

But yeah but mine looks EXTRA terrible like everything is coming out of wire covers.

And all the stuff you delete like Air pump and EGR stuff that has plugs can you just cut them to clean up the engine bay once its all done?

I want to make the engine bay look as good as possible with the new swap and figure doing the swap

800 bucks down towards the short block only 700 more to go

Yes you can delete all of it out of the harness. Just snip, tape off, and tuck.

Lots of new split conduit, electrical tape, and zipties, makes everything look nice.
