Default carb intake question

I have a carb intake for the LT1 i got. here it is

my question is this.... do you guys think that i should have my vic jr switched to LT bolt pattern or use that intake with the 2 inch spacer i have.

the motor/car specs are

383
13:1 compression
AFR 210 heads
26X intake 27X exhaust @.050
.650ish lift
1970 nova
3.25 gears
325/50/15 MT DR
th400 stall as needed

this will be run on E85 and mostly street driven but will see the strip a few times a year i care more about street driving and beating up on the people one the street. with the gears would i be better off with the dual plane and the spacer or the vic JR also this will see maybe 150 shot at most.

thanks

Dual plane tends to be better for mid range power. Single plane for top end. The spacer will just add plenum area, not really increase runner or port velocity. Really depends on if you want a beast in the mid range or on the top end.

i think you're going to want a single plane on it, and i think you're going to want at least a 4.11 gear. I'd ditch the vic jr though, i'd go straight to a super victor or a motown ain't bad for out of the box.

4.11 gears with a th400 on a street car? 3500 to cruise down the HWY does not sound like a ton of fun yes i know it would be fine but i like to take longer drives down the HWY like 45 min so 45 min at 3500 does not sound like something i want to do just to get more out of the car. Also another key to the puzzle is the TH400 will have a 2.75 1st gear so that will help a bit. I may buy a second center section for track days and then id buy 4.10's for that.

cam is a little hefty for a 383 and those gears, even with your compression. Look at my sig...

I turn 3500 at 55-60, it is quite loud. With less converter and 4.11s you'd be at 3000 with a 28" tire.
