what is this-stupid-bracket.jpg
anyone know where this bracket goes or what its used for? i know it goes somewhere on the front of the motor

It attaches to the back of the AC compressor and to the side of the block. It is very prone to break.

Your picture name is accurate, it is a stupid bracket. I have never re-installed the thing.

Mine broke also when I did my top end over, I left it off for weight savings lol

AC Compressor bracket to block. Not really necessary, but I left mine on there. It's just structural overkill from GM.

It just takes stress of the main braket by limiting deflection. You could have it wleded or make one. If you eliminate the A/C you wont need it lol.
