Default Kooks and Plug Wires

Trying to mess with the old 93 again so I bought a set of Kooks headers. Any one running a set with either an EFI 24 X with the coil mounted on the V covers, or just using them with a over the valve cover wire set up? I would like to see some pics to get some ideas.

When I had the OTVC MSD wires with my Kooks:

I didn't like them, and switched back to stock length plug wires.

The driver side actually looks pretty good, passenger side might be kind of a pain but I can't imagine them being worse then Hookers currently on the car

The passenger side only looks more cramped because of the AIR tube. All you have to do is route them around the alternator. Give them a little extra slack in that area so they don't touch it, because that thing gets hot.

Cool, they look like nice headers, I hope they would be atleast for as much as they cost.

Thanks! I've got a thread on LTXTech about my 2nd build thread...a tear-apart and make things pretty type thread. It looked like hell the first time I got the build done.

Thanks! I've also got a carbon fiber upper radiator support that'll really set it off!

Lol, never heard of Katech wires, those are a DIY LSX kit, made 'em myself!
Getting the wires through the LS coil boots is like the tightest. virgin. EVER.

Alright, I'm done thread-whoring now. Just thought I'd share the love

They are what I run on my EFI 24x with the hookers, they are MSD wires that are meant for a Katech LS1 coil pack relocation kit. The length works great and not a hassle like making your own is. Only about $55, I just wish they had spark plug wire boots on the plugs like my old Taylors had when I ran an Opti or the ones on yours right now, the 90* I believe they are called.

Yep, mine are 90 degree boots on the plugs. Wouldn't have it any other way.

The ones I have suck because with the 90s you feel that click and you know it's good to go.

I hated doing that with the Hookers, factory plug routing sucks. I hope I never own another car again for as long as I live where I have to run the number 7 wire through the motor mount to keep it from buring on the headers. From what I see the Kooks and my EFI 24X will be no worse then the Hookers, infact may be a tad better, zip ties ftw like always on a LTjuan.

You could wrap yours around the primaries of your headers and it not be a problem because you waint never gonna finish your sled.
