That appears to be the EGR crossover tube.

You really need to add a signature so we know what year vehicle you have and what mods (the more the better). You really leave us out on a limb trying to help you. Click on USER CP at the top left, then click on Edit Signature on the left menu bar.

And that the AIR pump crossover tube that connects both exhaust manifolds.

Throw it away if you don't need emissions.

The way you say it would imply that it came from the factory as a 355.
The proper term is stock rebuilt 355. Or something along those lines.

Seriously? Its the freakin LT1 section. Its not like they were made for 50 years like a small block Chevy. I recognized the tube immediately and I have only seen a handful of LT1s in my whole life.

Of course I knew it was the AIR tube. I asked him to post up a signature because this about the 10th thread of his where he's provided NO information on his car - me asking has nothing to do with the picture he posted. It was a mere suggestion for his future posts. This way when he posts a "which vacuum lines are which" thread, we can tell if he has a vented or unvented optispark, etc.

Are you done policing my posts now?

You must be sensitive. I dont "police" anyone. I dont have my info in my signature, of course my name does give some info away. My point was that he was asking a simple question that you could have answered. Instead you questioned what his signature looked like. He is obviously a newbie so cut him some slack. Or perhaps he doesn't want every Joe Blow to know every damn detail about his car.

Pretty sure I answered with the correct response FIRST, so I have no idea what you're talking about there....

If he wants accurate correct info he needs to provide details, PERIOD. I've ran across one douchebag on the site who didn't provide info because he was concerned about his local street-racing scene. This guy obviously doesn't because he's posted 10 or so threads in the past month asking for help and suggestions on various things - it would do him well to add a signature.

when cars are very close to each other having the upper hand could help you win, and them not knowing what you have could help you do that, maybe he did something they have not thought of yet????? but LTs are old and someone has done just about everything to these engines. I dont like showing off what i have at the track, i tell them its all stock, not that they believe me or anything it just make it easyier to take there money
