Default different heads?
a friend of mine bought a running lt1 with stock heads, but the heads weren't matching, one had a different casting number than the other. is this normal? or would it affect performance?

most Likly one head gasket went and the head turned out to be cracked or warped junk, should be fine though

The earlier heads are more meatier but the difference in flow is so minimal it doesnt matter.
