Hope no one already has this thread, I didn't see one. I have a buddy that is wanting to build up his LT1 but go with a carbureted intake for simplicity and tuning. He was wondering (and I'm just curious) about ignition. Most of the conversions I have seen go to the older style HEI distributer, drilled in the back. That might be a pain in the *** to some (he included) because of the cowl. Can you run the optispark with the carbureted intake? I imagine you would have to leave the computer and mod it to leave out the fuel and just manage the spark. If someone has done this conversion, let me know what you did.
