Default Could the engine sucking moisture through the MAF cause this?

Seems like just a cluster of problems within the last week with this car. Now its something else, after I washed it today, it stumbled at startup and idled at 1800. Thankfully i got it right on a lift up my school, the opti, wires, coil, ICM, all that was dry. However there was water in the airbox, I have the moroso CAI where the filter sticks down through the hole out of the engine bay, there was water inside the filter as well. No codes were thrown, could the MAF make a false reading like that if it sucked moisture up and got wet?

If your filter got wet then yes it can cause it to stumble

unplug it and see if it runs better. if it does, theres a problem with ur maf.

dont unplug it while its running. it will die. turn it off, then unplug it

My old lt1 would get water in the air stock air box once in a great while when I could go thourgh a huge puddle or in a big down pour. It would stumble bad then level out and would throw a check engine light about every time. I would use a hairdryer and dry the filter really well. Then after I would drive it for awhile the check engine light would go out.

Every time I go through the car wash and forget to turn off my car I suck air and get the "studdering". Your MAF should be fine once dry. Next time just turn the car off and try not to get it in your filter if possible and you'll be fine. Mine too was with a CAI, but mine is the F.I.P.K from K&N. Hope this helps. Sorry about the problems.

Pull out the filter and let it dry or get a new one. It wont hurt the maf, Well it never did on mine

Maybe that could be the reason why it was stumbling in the rain last week? The difference then though was it idled normal. This time theres no miss but idles high.

I went threw deep water, I would check to make sure everything is hooked up right going to the air box. It shouldn't be that easy for rain water to get into a stock box

The most messed up part is that it got in there when i was washing it. Probably when i sprayed the wheel clean on the drivers side front. Because before i washed it ran tiptop. Then stumbling on startup/high idle. Maybe I can do something to some of the openings to help keep the water out. This is the 2nd time this happened, also happened two times before in the rain.
