1996 LT1 engine stalling/bogging
ok, heres the stats of my lady, causing my immense problems
1966 cadillac deville 4 door with a 1996 lt1 swap
I was having some insane backfire issues and loss of power, after cruising the forums i found that i should replace the optispark. did that, still had my backfire issues but regained most of my power loss. after dealing with the insanity that is having to remove a water pump and balancer, i decide to change the wires to find my 6 and 8 cylinder wires had been melted together due to the brilliance of the previous owner. my backfire is now gone, but if i put the pedal to the floor, the car just about dies, im good at low rpms, low acceleration, but if i try to give it some juice, she falls short, any suggestions?

I would always recomend stock wires but I would also check ur fuel pressure regulater or check fuel pressure at ur rail during wot to make sure pressure not falling off.
