Angry LT1 to Carb

Im putting a carb on my LT1 and was wondering if I could use the MSD 83811 distributor even though its carb'd. I will have the distributor hooked up to a MSD ignition box and there is a screw on the distributor where I can adjust the timing. So it should work right? Im still going to have the ECU hooked up to power my windows, gauges, etc.

No I don't see how that will work.
I would look into a normal distributor, one that goes into the back of the intake.
If this is a street driven car look for a mechanical advance distributor, race setup look for crank trigger setup.

If you do a crank trigger the dist. Are very short. It will fit under the stock cowl. It probably won't come out without pulling the motor. I cut mine aoat back to the firewall. I can take the dist out without any problem.

The crab style distributor will come out without pulling the motor.
I'm using a crank trigger setup on mine. Had to pull it one time with the motor in the car.

-- Update I don't think it will clear, I cut my cowl as well.
