Default car bogs on launch after cc306 install

Car idles great but stomping on the gas from a dead stop the car spits, sputters and mildly backfires until about 2800 rpm then pulls like a **** all the way to 6500. If i give it gas gradually like normal driving all is well. Auto tranny with a 2,000 stall, pcm4less tune, new ngk v power plugs gapped to .50, new 8.5mm wires, msd coil, relatively new ICM 6 months old or so. Would this be an ignition or a fuel issue??

Im not so sure the stall is to small.

It happens all the way to 2800 then it starts to smooth out perfect or does it still miss or surge at all?

what rear end gear size?
Headers?

Need more info

smooths out but misses every now and again way up around 5500 but its a small miss bairly noticable and it is random. 3:42 gears, hooker super comp long tubes, opti is Delco with 2,000 miles on it.

Stall is very small not sure if that is the problem but it definately isn't helping. Typically ignition problems are high rpm atleast in my experience. Sounds more like it's loading up on fuel and clearing out with more rpm.

Make sure your plugs wires are on all the way and on the right cylinder. I am not saying this to insult your intelligence but to relay some of the **** I've done.

Keep us updated.

+1 for the stall being too small. Most sources will tell you you'll want at least a 2800 stall minimum to run that cam.

I intend on getting a yank ss3600 soon to combat the stall issue. I am going to check the wires again.

No need to attack me with saying the stall has nothing to do with it.. From what i understand since he is local and from what ive seen with the issues in his car its not the stall thats causing it.. He has a mail order tune It was tuned for the stall.. even though the stall may be on the small side If the tune was set correctly then it should not load up on fuel and then clear out.. There is something else going on. i bet you its something in your tune that was not set right.. I actually had an auto car and ran a stock stall in it for two months with a cc306 cam.. It was slugish off the line but it did NOT bog.. O.P. i noticed that you said you uploaded the tune to the ecu.. Do you have the file? could you provide me with it..

Plus a stall does not cause the car to miss or backfire.. I have a feeling its def. in the tune..

I hope it is a tuning issue!! I have the Jet DST so I can edit the tune but I do not know what I am looking for in the tables. Any ideas what I should look at or change?

Is there anyway you can pull it off? do you have a cable for your laptop? you could use tuner pro to pull the tune?

i'd be looking at some more gear and that stall speed. an ignition miss is not gonna get better ABOVE a certain RPM. you could possibly tune for better low RPM performance, but that leaves a lot of power and acceleration on the table and if you aren't experienced, you stand a good chance of leaning it out too much. leaning out is bad. your car will give you a time out for that(ie. a hurt motor).
