what ever part the transmission wiring is connected to. im thinkin now i might just use the 95 6 speed computer and the 6 speed harness in the 93. do i have to swap the entire engine wiring harness to do this?

Remove the 93 harness unmolested then you can sell the entire 93 harness and computer.

One big advantage of the MAF LT1 computers is the 4L60E. I would recommend an auto wire harness then in future you can go to a 4L60E.

It is easy to leave the 4L60E connector on and disable the 4L60E, but have the 4L60E available when you have to rebuild your 700 tranny.

Good luck

ok heres the story....
so i had a 93z did a 6 speed swap and everything was fine, then i did a dash swap and started having electrical problems. could not find the prob to save my life. so i bought a 95z roller to swap my drivetrain into and not have any electrical problems. discovered the 95 in structurally ruined so i can even use the car anymore. so now im thinkin if i swap the 95 wiring harness into the 93 i wouldnt have any electrical problems and id have a car again. but what im wondering is if since the 93 had power accesories and the 95 doesnt can i even swap harnesses and keep my power accesories. messed up situation i know. but im also thinkin if i can find the electrical problem in the 93 can i just swap the harness that has the trans wiring and use the 95 computer since its a 6 speed computer and i can actually have the speedo adjusted correctly then too. feel free to ask any questions,im just lookin for help and this is really confusing too

ok so the engine harness from the 95 plugs right in, found out by doing this that my electrical problem is in the interior harness. so now all i have to do is find a 93 harness i can replace mine with and be done with this mess. anyone know where i can find a matching harness?

Just because it plugs in doesn't mean things are gonna work. Have a look at the charts in the link and you'll see some differences.

Well something is draining the battery. And also when I turn the key to the off position the car will stay running. But as soon as I open the door the car will shut off. Also the air controls and radio would cut in and out.

ok well the car running when the key is shut off till the door opens is some issue with the RAP module........there is a module under the dash called the Retained Accessory Power Module it keeps power supply to accessories such as the wipers and radio......sounds like you have an issue with the wiring there..........seems like maybe you got the power accessory wire mixed up with the ignition run wire where it connects to the module.........check it out

as for draining the battery id pull off the fusible links and put in ur multi meter on a current setting and check them all one at a time to localize the draw.........

as for the radio and ac controls........sounds like u just got something loose wether it be a connector or a wire in the fuse box........

try and fix it before you go trying to swap harnesses trust me you'll prob end up with more issues than u have now lol

well i did a voltage test with the meter in line with the positive battery cable, it pulled 125 milliamps and when id connect it i heard a click. tracked it down to the RAP module.but ive never messed with any of the wiring that i know of for that thing so i dont know why that would mess up now. anyway, should i just start tracing wires now looking for a short or what?
