Default no communication

Hey guys, I'm getting a no communication when I try to scan my 94 t/a.
Its been running kinda rough, popping under idle a little bit and if I just give it a little gas, it misses alot but clears up after 1500 rpm
I thought it was either plugs or wires so I just changed them and it has a new blaster coil and msd opti put on last year, and installed a new gas filter.
Im terrible when it comes to anything electrical, but if there was no communication from the pcm then the car wouldnt run, right ? so it probably has a broken wire under the dash and this is prob a seperate problem from the miss.
what do you think ?

I think you need to post what you are trying to use to communicate with your car. That might help.

snap on solus pro with obd1 adapter. all fuses are good. and cig lighter has power. my main question though is if the computer has no communication it wouldn't run, right ?
it pops and misses till about 1500-1700 just sitting still reving it. almost seems like a tps fault. Ive tried 3 of them...same result. also cleaned Maf and map.
driving it its okay, prob because its out of that range. but say your coming up to a light and your slowing down and have it in first gear and when get back on the throttle it just lunges till you give it more gas.

Have you checked continuity from the PCM to the DLC? Have you tried another scanner?

I have seen this many times with many different scanners, if there were no communication with the PCM then its very likely the car would not even start. Im thinking that you either dont have the proper hook up on the scanner or your PCM is really has no communication. if thats the case then i would try another scanner before buying a 125 computer and 100 to program

Unless this was tested on another car, this is what I would suspect.

No I have not tried another scanner, how do I check the continuity ? is that on your website ? like I said electrical is my huge downfall, I can rebuild a engine or set up a rear, but can not for the life of me figure out electrical gremlins.

im going to have to pull the knee panel, I had the steering column out to the the t56 swap, im thinking maybe I pulled a wire or something. I dont know though cause it worked when I test drove it before I did the computer.

The engine light is going on and off, and it drives. so I know the pcm is firing up. I think I got to seperate issues. The engine codes when I was able to read them one time were for the a/c disconnected and the torque converter not being there anymore.

OOOk I jumpered the A and B and the check engine light just stays on and doesnt flash and I hear the fans running...
if I start it while the paperclip is still in, the ses light flashes at a constant speed with no breaks.

the light shuld start flashing, and the fans should turn on when you jump it. Should flash once... then twice to indicate system is working. Code 12... then IF working correctly should flash this 3 times then will flash and engine codes that may be stored. It sounds to me like the system is not working and you need to start there.

last year i could not communicate with my pcm, and found the ground wires by the icm were broken from the lugs on two of the three grounds. Repairing them fixed my problem, so that is where i would look

I don't think its a good idea to start your car with the jumper wires in place.

You cannot flash codes past 1993. You must use a scanner. Since you did get a response, the PCM to DLC wiring seems to be ok. I suspect the trouble is the scanner or cable you are trying to use.
