Default I'm at a loss again.

I finally finished up installing my hooker longtubes and exhaust setup a few weeks ago and noticed the car was missing extremely bad. After finally looking around i found out that my little brother forgot to fully hook up the 02s so that solved the missing problem.

New issue is the car is extremely slugish and really down on power. I put it in 1st and go wot and ill be honest my toyota solara accelerates quicker. I'm at a loss. Checked all the plugs and wires, checked the 02 wires, fuel pressure is where it should be. Do you guys think it could possibly need a tune? Im running out of options on what i can be.

The o2 sensors themselves could possibly be fouled from the coating on the headers.

I just want to make sure a tune is what i need. I don't want to go spend 150+ dollars on a tune and it not fix the problem.

O2 sensors aren't used at WOT.
Make sure that you don't have an exhaust leak (usually an obvious ticking sound)
Make sure that you have not melted or crossed any of your plug wires.
Check your coolant temp sensor wires as well, if they're unplugged, the PCM could be commanding an artificially rich condition.

A tune is a great idea after a change like this. By uncorking the exhaust side, you have altered the amount
of spent air/fuel left in the chamber and the amount of fresh air drawn in on the next stroke.
At the very least, a laptop and datalog cable could identify an issue like burst knock
retarding timing (which is what your description reminds me of) or a rich/lean condition.

No one does 93s anymore, I have Ed Wright (Fastchip.com / Tulsa area) do my stuff.

A mailorder tune from Madz28 or Fastchip will probably do the trick, but
for a 94-97, I'd take it to Tim at Vettes & Performance in Marriam.
He was my backup plan if I couldn't get Ed to tune my new setup

Cost really depends on what you want to do, how long it takes and how valuable the tuner feels his skills are.
Mailorders run $200-400, dyno tunes $400-700.

I just took it out for a drive and from about 1k-2700rpms the car cuts out and falls on its face then catches itself speeds back up again. Once i get past 2700rpms its fine at cruising speed. I noticed it usually when i was going up hills. Almost feels like its not getting enough gas and tries to die. I'm stumped, fuel pressure was fine and the tank is full.

While i was driving it around the ses light came on so i stopped by oreilly's to read the codes. I got left oxygen sensor fault and right oxygen sensor lean. Would those to codes cause the problems i seem to be having? I checked the o2 wires about 2 days ago and they all checked out and looked fine.

Did you use extensions or try to extend your old wires on the o2 sensors?

Check all plug wires. Make sure none are touching the header primaries.

Absolutely. Does it have these symptoms when the motor is still warming up or only when the motor reaches running temp? Reason I ask is because your O2's have to warm up before the pcm will read them and use the data to adjust AFR. In other words, you're O2's aren't used the 1st 3-5 minutes after start up. That's one way you can tell if O2's are your problem.

And I thought the same thing about my plug wires, until I pulled them off the car and REALLY looked at them. The A/C pulley will really eat them up, and header primaries too of course. Do you have them in the stock looms? or how you running them?
