wanting to
Well 2 trans in 3 months has made me decide that i want to get rid of the old 4l60/700r4 piece of crap. Any suggestions on what i could swap it for with out breaking the bank and min work.

That sounds like whoever built it messed up pretty bad (unless you're making some obscene amount of power). But, to answer what would swap without breaking the bank other than a 700r4/4l60, a TH350.

yeah the shop is a joke i went back up there to talk to them cause there was post to be a warrenty and there shut down i got fu**** hard without a movie or diner how hard is it to swap a th350 into the car and the car dont have much done to it at all its basicly stock best time ive ran was a 13.8 with a cat delete and tb bypass and open exuast with stock w pipe and no filter at the track

You'd need a crossmember that has the torque arm relocation mount, you'd need either the adapter to run your speedometer with the TH350 speed sensor, or run your speedo off one of the front wheel hubs. Also it needs to be a long tailshaft trans.

I have been running a Level 2 in my car for over 2 years now and it's taking the beating just fine. It's ALL in the builder.

I have had a ProBuilt Automatics 4L60E in my car for over 7 years, car was already cammed when the tranny went in, then I think it was 5 years ago I stepped up to heads and cam making over 100hp more than I had told him I ever planned on making. He had me redrill one hole in the separator plate to improve the 1-2 shift for the added power.
Mine even still has stock servos, stock sunshell, stock planataries, not really any special parts, just a good assembler.
Those of us who are successful with things work THROUGH problems when we have them rather than turning away and not learning anything.

I used Probuild Automatic's 675 hp pro street kit for mine. After we built it, the car drove extremely docile until you hammered it, then it really woke up.
The only reason I dropped the 700r4 for the TH350 is because now it's a weekend warrior car.

If I drove mine on a day-to-day basis, I'd stick with the 4L60. Just do yourself a favor and ask around for a reputable shop in your area to do the build. If you want a little extra on the performance side, have them install a shift kit.

it already has a shift kit installed ive talked to a guy that rebuilds them and has done alot of work on people i know cars he is resonable i just have to pull the tranny and take it to him
