Default water leaking under clutch floor board

Rains hard yesterday, and today I found out my floor board is wet, and smelly. I look at the windshield area and found the seal is mess up. Could this be the windshield seal or any other way water can get in on my floor board ?

Passenger or driver's side floor? Passenger side I'd look at your heater core. Driver's side, check around the fire wall. Also, there are little drain plugs under the carpet, on either side and in the rear seat buckets that you could check to see if they fell or rotted out. The windshield seal is almost like tar or glue I'd doubt it's leaking, but then again, who knows.

They are round and stick through the floor, they are to drain the car if it ever fills with water. But that wouldn't really explain why it does it when it rains (I just read that you said it does it when it rains). Check that plastic fire wall insulator thing, it could be coming from the windshield and running down, or it could be coming from around the steering column.
