Default Where is the cheapest place to get a new Opti?

I want a AC Delco unit. The cheapest I can find is about 360.00 on ebay. Its been about 4 years since I bought one and the last one I bought was around 180.00 have they gone up that much? Any leads on a cheaper source?

You could try going used. I found some 40-50.00 on craigslist. That's the route I would take.

In a lot of cases I'm on board with a used part since they have proven that they work already. However, I've been around the block enough times with Opti's that I know better. I appreciate the offers and input but I think a new one is the best route.

I picked one up from summit w/ 2-day shipping for ~$400. The AC Delco unit from them is $380 but if you need it quickly, summit is the best way to go IMO.

I got a chandler opti for $90 shipped and I got it in 2 days. I'll buy 5 of chandlers before I ever spent $400 on a delco. Well thats a lie, EFI 24x kit is next in line for my summer mods

$400 for an opti is just crazy IMO, hopefully the chandler part will last a couple months and then I'll make the switch to the EFI Connections kit

A few in my area are running Chandler's with no issues. My formula has one and it has been going strong since November.

Rock auto is high as hell...

My brother has a 93 z28 and he got a pretty decent deal on ebay. He was skeptical, but so far so good.

Ebay is where i got the current one. It did at least tell me the car would still start and that it has no other major flaws (it was recovered from a fountain 4 years ago and hasnt run since). The cheapo from ebay only lasted about 3 hours but I think it was a good waste of 60 bucks. I'm gona send it back for one more replacement. I'd like to see the car live a little longer to see if there are any other kinks that need worked out and then I may sink the money into a GM unit or go the Delteq route. By the way, Rob - Shoebox, thanks again for all for all of your help!

And just because you spend $400 on a GM unit doesn't gaurantee that its going to last. Look at all of the guys that spend lots of $$$ on the MSD kit and they have tons of problems.
